It all began after being awestruck by molecular gastronomy techniques while dining at the Tapas Molecular Bar, a Michelin rated restaurant in Japan, then facing disappointment at the accessibility of ingredients and tools here in the States.
Trufflina was founded in 2010 by molecular gastronomy enthusiasts inspired to bring awareness of spherification to the common kitchen. The name Trufflina was derived from the word truffles to mean “little lump.” All ingredients are food grade rated powders sourced from New York and repacked in Palo Alto, California. Supplies have been carefully selected and all shipments are personally packed to ensure our customers receive a great product at an affordable price.
